I'll miss typing in this interface, but I won't miss having to hotlink/upload all my images!
I bought some new webspace with a new provider, unlike my old provider Netfirms (NEVER EVER CONSIDER JOINING, THEY SUCK), the new one is actually good and have not had any down time on them.
I am going to stop posting here, and post on my new blog instead, which can be found here :

Edit : Totally awesome, I didn't know I could do this but I Exported my whole LJ from Livejournal, and into Wordpress. Unfortunately had to do it 1 month at a time, but better than nothing at all! Makes me happy that nothing'll be lost, and it'll be a smoother transition than I thought.

As you readers may know, I started a second character "Countwafik" for the purpose of having a bard or whm slave, as well as re-doing some things in this game, one of them being CoP missions!
This time around, I got the jolly idea of after each CS, point form write down the main things from each CS, so I can actually keep up with the story. Unfortunately on my first time round, the story was chopped up horribly, most of the cutscenes had a 3 month gap in them at minimum, which wasn't very easy to keep up with, especially when they start referring to things at the beggining of the story. Maybe I was just too naiive and unfocused to pay attention back then, but this time around my ammo (of notepad!) is my savior.
The way I've set up my notepad so far is the chapter mission will be bolded (for example : 2-5 Ancient Vows) and then the rest of the text under it. After I'm done with a mission, I'll type up the next mission under it, so it can be one big text file that I can read from top to bottom.
I plan on pasting it through this LJ, not the whole thing though in one clump, but in segments, I'll post my first segments in the next update :p Then probably comment on them and such.
Going through CoP is great fun again because this time I'm doing it mostly with friends. I did Promyvion mea with a pickup and that's about it. The only thing I wish from CoP is that one day SE turns it into an offline game, CoP is huge and amazingly epic, and would be a shame for an expansion like this to become lost in the void of "MMO stories lolz". I too did bash on CoP's story back in the day, saying if you want story you play an offline game rather than online, but looking back at it, most likely I was using the story as a scapegoat due to the lack of content that CoP didn't have (and now look! wings has even less, lol).
Promyvions have been fun, fun to go through these again, ended up doing minotaur today and getting CS's which puts me at 2-5, mammet fight which I am verily looking forward to.
Maybe one day when I know how to make websites properly (from scratch, not using a website builder) I'll give a shot at building one for all my storylines that I've encountered in FFXI. I'm imagining something like a main menu up top, side menu with all the expansions, and when you click on the expansion, a sub menu goes beneath with the list of chapters/stories.
I'm doing it with CoP now, and am definitely going to do it with Zilart, Wings, and nation missions. Kerrigan's story website is nice for in depth answers, as are other littered posts here and there, but sometimes I just want a nice summarized story so I can answer myself "Hmmm why did X do Y? According to my notes, it's because Z ate Q's lunch!", and such !

Tomorrow planning on doing a mammet run after salvage if people aren't too tired. If they are then it can happen on another day. My biggest push this week is to get diablos killed , since bastok has Tavnazia this week and you need to finish 3-5 or it doesn't let you OP / Use AH in tav which is what I mainly want. I hate going to whitegate for AH purposes when there's a much better one to use in Tav, lag free as well.

Gah screw up !

I screwed up the BG art contest a little, nothing too damaging, but it will delay the contest by a day (only 1 day hopefully!). I also missed two of the entries, and titled one of them wrong, so it was good in a way to remove the polls since I had to fix the other things.
I'm also going to try a new thumbnailing system, small 100x100 px thumb of image, when clicked goes to the whole image, and will also include a link to all the images for those who don't want to go through thumbnails, so the options are all there.

Ok, screw Zelda DS.

This is my first Zelda that I seriously attempt and do not finish. Fuck the ocean king temple, worst game design by far, much worse than the split triforce in wind waker.
I enjoy the game, but the repetition of this temple has driven me insane, to the point where I stop playing it for 2-6 weeks each time they send me back to that temple. Seriously, magical temple hasn't heard of an elevator or something? I have put off all my other DS games for a while (since I like to only play 1 before moving on). Time to open some of my sealed games which are a billion times better than this bullshit piece of crap, helloooooo phoenix wright!
Zelda DS sucksssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. 2/10. It'd get higher from me, but the ocean temple alone is enough to devour at least 6 points of negative on it's own. My first DS game that I haven't finished, and I couldn't give a squirt about the story. If anyone wants to spoil the ending, please feel free to do so, because I'm never picking up this game ever again.

Tarutaru is going great, I used 5 charges of his Anni ring already on WHM, gonna hold on and save the other 5 charges for using it on NIN for him. He's now lvl17 BLM and lvl33 WHM.

Meet my little friend!

Lordwafik's distant relative from some castle in eastern euro-vanadiel, Countwafik!
I was planning on levelling bard, however I didn't feel like lugging around instruments and such for it. Nor do I really have the inventory room to have yet another job on LW (yet), so I started this account up, and it's going pretty well. I am torn on which account to play bard on though, while BRD on LW means I can save myself 12 USD a month, as well as having the last job on mandau finished!(lols), on the other hand BRD on my Taru is the more obviious choice, will mean I can play it separate from LW, and not have to put aside some of my useful jobs like RDM or THF or BLM. Also I'll be able to use it to PL myself if I need.
The current plan is :
BLM 17 > WHM 37 > BRD 50 STOP
WAR 17 > NIN 37 > BRD 75.
When BRD is done, I plan to level WHM to at least 60 on it, so I can have all the teleports. If I am having fun, i'll stay whm and take it to 75. I like the job WHM a lot, I did main healing on all my mages aside BLM (yep, blu main healer!) so this would be nice.
Also I realllyyy liked playing BST. While the job hasn't much endgame use, it's fun to play on, so I plan on eventually playing BST on the taru, however I am going to duo it with COR on LW , or some other job, whatever is fun really. Preferrably some job that can share my gear at 75 (cor can use skadi/joyeuse/mage items etc).
Either way, that's if I keep this taru up! If I don't keep at it then I'll probably just deactivate him and save myself a few dollars per month, however I have wanted to do CoP and ToaU storylines unbroken for a while now, so this is my chance! I liked the story but some elements didn't make sense towards the end, especially when it was months between storyline progression (imagine trying to keep up with LOST and only getting 2-4 episodes at once every 3 months).

Does anyone still use Livejournal?

Allo, I don't use LJ much if at all anymore. I looked at my friends page, and I see hardly anyone else posts either! I guess the FFXI-LJ phase is long gone and dead.
I wonder what reasons they are for? Probably the fact that everyone has discussed everything really about the game, and WotG not providing anything really new :p I love wings, it's nice, but clearly it needs content, SE has also seen this and have given us HUGE teasers at content updates, as well as the gift bonanza. I think people got bored of posting "My LS did _________ and got ________ , cool".
I do have hope for the future of the expansion, it looks like this update will have everything in it. Nyzul relic upgrade has got me tingling, and I am hoping that instead of the past dynamis currency, they are created in a series of very long quests, perhaps like the allience avatar battles.
Now in regards to the bonanza, I think they worked it out really well. People are obviously going to play mules here, and that's exactly why they are giving out money prizes, incase your mule wins and your main doesn't, it'd suck for them to get some rare/ex item that benefits you nonce, good job SE in that department.
Personally my Prize choices :
Rank 1: 100m, hands down. As much as I'd love a dalmatica +1 to put next to my dalmatica side by side in mog house to annoy even more people, I'll settle for gil that'll buy anything I'd like in this economy. Personally though I think the 100m should have been rank1 all on it's own, everything else bumped down a notch.
Rank 2 : Since I have everything from Xarcabard, I don't care too much about spending this ticket on AF2, however I think if you're in need of Xarc AF2, do not pass this opportunity to get it. I am personally going to pick V.belt over the 10m, unless of course my mule wins, then I'll take the cash.
Rank 3 : 1m vs RDM af2 body I've constantly lost lot on or passed to other RDMs who I feel bad for since they have no special item? Take a guess :P
Rank 4 : 100k vs AH items, I'm probably going to take a B.hide BUT I will ask a friend to synth for me rather than try cash in on it, the way I see it is I got a free shot at dusk boots/gloves, and if it smashes, I'm out nothing at all, if I get NQ, good for me, if I get HQ, freaking sweet.
I'm going to post another LJ update in a few days or maybe later tonight even. Introducing someone new!

Recently a few faces have been popping up on asura that had previously quit the game. Lots and lots, but then some of my old friends started to unquit.
By old friends, I mean old friends and we're no longer friends anymore. Considering they were coming back fresh, either I remain a baby to them and keep a "Grudge" or I can say "Hi how's it going" and such.
Started a few days ago with Napolean, yes I was friends with the napolean a few years back when we were both in NK together, we had a tiff when I quit for armada, but that's behind us now, I sent him a tell the other day when he re-activated and we had ourselves a little chat. We did discuss how we haven't spoken for 3 years, and how he was just playing for fun and stuff.
That's the main reason really I started talking to some other people. We're all playing for fun, who seriously wants a frigging internet grudge on themselves or eachother? Screw that, yes I was silly, but there's no point in serving e-revenge onto others :p Sure, I still get annoyed at people and will still not like some people who did some really stupid shit (I'm looking at you server-hopping-compulsive-liar-who-knows-w
Anyway, saw Fafnir and Foamy re-activated, and also sent them tells saying Hi, wb, etc, and making up with them, and then even Soup! Yep, sent him tells and we spoke for a while.
After speaking to all these people, we're still friends (if the feeling is mutual), it was awesome to speak with them again after so much silence between us.
After you break Vanadiel and FFXI down to it's core, it's just a game, if you're not speaking with people who were once friends, reconsider :p even if they're in rival LS's, who cares - if they're not idiots they'll probably be very willing to hear you out too .

This is how I feel about SCH at the moment. I got it to 68 a few months ago, and well, after seeing how horrible it is at 68 and realizing the almost zero potential it has/had at 75, I just quit while I was ahead. Here's to hoping the update changes a job from poop to awesome!
I mostly am dissapointed with the lies SE spouted, such as "Heavy DoT job" when in fact, the DoTs surely have high damage per tick compared to other DoT in this game, but at the cost of them ticking extremely slowly (think resting ticks), so that "Heavy DoT" is in fact nothing greater than a mere teir3 nuke, I'd rather a mage just cast a teir 3 nuke since those pull very little hate.
